Discipleship is helping people grow
to be more like Jesus. Asking Jesus to come into your life is
just the beginning of an exciting journey! He wants to have an
intimate, loving relationship with you. Through discipleship,
you can discover and develop the tools you'll need to grow in
your faith and let Christ impact your everyday life.

At Florissant Valley Baptist Church we are developing a new discipleship ministry
designed specifically to help you grow in your faith.
'IMPACT U' (Impact University) will help you cultivate a healthy relationship with Jesus through
mentoring, small groups, Bible Study opportunities, LIFE Group elective studies, and support groups.
God has a specific purpose for your life! IMPACT U wants to equip you for that purpose not only in the classroom,
but also through meaningful relationships with other believers. Different people have different learning styles.
Our hope is that we can offer several options that will meet your needs in your spiritual walk and
encourage you to become a "disciple-making" disciple. Your life with Christ is something worth sharing with
others! Christ's desire is that you impact the world for Him.

| Teaming with a Mentor
|
If you are a new Christian, knowing how to grow in your relationship with Jesus may seem overwhelming!
That's why we are developing new mentoring ministries at Florissant Valley. A mentor can walk along beside
you in this exciting journey, provide the guidance you're looking for, pray for you daily, and most of all, be a
great Christian friend. Our hope is to team each new Christian with a mentor who can help you get started
in your Christian life.
If you began your life with Christ years ago, but are new to our church, you too may want to consider
teaming with a mentor. This will give you the chance to better understand our church, it's ministries, and how
you can be an active part of those ministries.

| Bible Study Options
|
Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned veteran, the keys to God's purpose in your life are found
in His Word. We offer several different Bible Study options that fit your lifestyle and learning style.
Sunday morning Bible Studies are organized by age group but address a common topic or book of the Bible to develop
continuity within the church family. Other Bible studies are offered throughout the week. The Pastor's Bible
Study meets weekly to look at a particular book of the Bible in a "verse by verse" format PRECEPT Bible
Studies for women are also offered on a weekly basis. Please contact the church for specific schedules.

| Women's Ministries
|
Our new women's ministries offer several opportunities that encourage women in their faith
and help develop meaningful relationships. Fun recreational activities, inspirational Bible Study
groups, and conferences designed to meet the specific needs of women will enrich your spiritual journey.

| Men's Ministries
|
| True manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous. That's why we offer ministries that inspire men to
live out the difference Christ makes in their lives. You will find fun activities and sports, Bible study
options and conferences that address the unique needs of men. |
| LIFE Group Electives and Support Groups
|
LIFE Group Electives are classes which focus on numerous areas of interest ranging
from particular Bible topics, marriage enrichment, evangelism, and much more. Typically they
meet once a week for either a Fall or Spring semester.
Support Groups are developed and offered as needed to assist people with certain areas of concern.
They focus on specific topics such as "Recovering from Loss." |
