Pastor Ronn Brooks |
Pastor Ronn was born in California but moved around the country as the son of an Air Force
Sergeant. After his father's retirement, his family settled in the Chicago suburbs
where he attended high school and met his future wife. After graduating from Illinois
State University, he taught school for two years before sensing God's call to ministry.
He attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he gained his master's degree in
Religious Education. He then began serving churches in Illinois and Missouri as a minister
of music and youth and then as a minister of students. He became Pastor of
Florissant Valley Baptist Church in January of 2000. He and his wife, Barbara, have three children and live in
Florissant, Missouri.

Tammy Stevenson, Minister of Music and Discipleship |

A St. Louis native, Tammy grew up in Florissant and attended Florissant Valley Baptist Church as a
child and teenager. She moved to Kansas City and then New York City for her studies before
returning to St. Louis to join the staff of a sister church. Tammy has been in ministry for
19 years. She was pleased to join the Florissant Valley staff in March of 1993 as Minister
of Music and Youth. Recently her ministry emphasis has adjusted to include
music and discipleship. Tammy resides in Florissant with her husband and two
children.

Andy Shorley, Minister of Youth |

A St. Louis native, Andy was born and raised in Florissant, Missouri. He lived in Florissant for fourteen
years, before moving to the Lone Star State of Texas to be with his mother. After a brief stay in Texas, Andy
returned to Missouri, and moved to St. Charles. Andy is a graduate of Francis Howell High School, and went on
to college to get his bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science. After a year working as an Actuary, Andy felt his
call to ministry, and is now the Minister of Youth at Florissant Valley Baptist Church.

Denise Salsman, Administrative Secretary |
Born in a small town in Kansas, Denise Salsman felt a call to ministry at an early age.
After graduating as valedictorian in high school, she met her future husband at Southwest Baptist
University in Bolivar, Missouri. Denise followed her husband, Robin, into the ministry of Music and Youth
where they served together with their two children in Missouri and Oklahoma. After getting her Music Education
degree with high honors at NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, she taught in public schools for ten years. Upon God's leadership to the
First Baptist Church in St. John, Missouri where Robin now serves as Minister of Worship and Education, Denise accepted
the position of Administrative Secretary at Florissant Valley Baptist Church in February of 2004.
