What is Angel Food Ministries?

Angel Food Ministries is a 10 year old non-profit organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. This program provides up to $75 worth of food, including fresh and frozen food, for only $30!

I've always heard that if something is too good to be true...it probably is. $75 worth of food for only $30! What's the catch?

No Catch! The food is purchased in bulk from food distributors that have overstocks.

Where does all the food come from? Am I going to get stuck with dented cans, open packages, and food which has passed the expiration date?

This is all first quality food. There are no second hand items, no damaged foods, no outdated goods, and no dented cans with missing labels.

I'm on a fixed income; who gets the food that I am paying for?

This is not a benevolence. The food you are buying is yours to keep! You pay $30 and "take home" up to $75 worth of food. Generally one $30 unit of food assists in feeding a family of 4 for about 1 week or a senior citizen for almost a month.

Who can participate?

EVERYONE is eligible to participate. All you do is drop your order and payment a few weeks before the food arrives, and pick it up on the day it arrives. See Flyer/Order Form (above) for all the details.

Won't I get tired of eating the same old thing month after month?

Each month's menu is different than the previous month, so you will get a different variety each month of can goods, fruits, vegetables, frozen foods and boxed foods.

What if I really like the menu. Can I buy a couple of units?

Yes. You can purchase as many units as you want. There is no limit! And, if you do decide to purchase a unit of food, you are eligible for Meat Specials each month, too.

Meat Specials??? Tell me more.

The meat specials are an additional cost, and are listed on the order flyer. Each month they are different, and you'll have a couple of options to pick from. There are usually choices of pork, beef, and chicken.

This sounds Fantastic! How can I place my order?

The Flyer/Order form has all the details. It will give you this month's menu, the date your order is due and the pick-up date. But if you just can't wait, call Cynthia at 314-831-0207, or Linda at 314-839-1899 and they can give you all the details.

Why is our church involved with this ministry?

Florissant Valley Baptist Church is involved for a variety of reasons. Mainly because this is a ministry where we can reach out to the community and help others who could use a little help making ends meet. We strongly encourage all of our own members to take advantage of this fantastic bargain as well.

What can I do to help spread the word about Angel Food Ministries?

Tell your friends, family, and neighbors about our website and this ministry. Everyone is eligible to participate, and word of mouth is the primary source of advertisement. We appreciate your interest in Angel Food Ministries.
